Sir,
I would like to send my sincere thanks to Evangelismos Hospital in Paphos.
I had a baby there on January 11. The staff was sincere and caring, nothing was too much trouble for them. Even making me a cup of tea during the early hours of the morning.
There was a small language barrier as a couple of the staff didn’t speak English and my Greek is limited, but we still managed to understand what was required of each other.
From the beginning of the pregnancy I have received the very best care and treatment. Having already suffered the loss of seven pregnancies, the doctor did everything possible to ensure that I did not loose another baby. I was even told in UK that I could not have a boy because my husband and I were genetically incompatible. But I had a boy!
The doctor scanned me at each appointment, while in the UK you were lucky if you had three scans.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the cost of the birth, which I had expected to be at least £1.500 but was much less.
Once again a big thank you to midwives, nurses and doctors at the clinic, not forgetting all the other staff that do jobs behind the scenes.
