Purpose of the Department Our Cardiology Department offers treatment and prevention of acute and chronic cardiovascular disease. This includes management of emergencies and advanced life-support instances. The department also undertakes educational activities to inform the public on diseases of heart and vessels.

Our daily outpatient clinics cover the whole spectrum of cardiology. Our services include:

• Colour-Doppler Echo examination
• Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
• Exercise Tests
• 24 hour ECG (Holter-ECG) monitoring
• 24 hour blood pressure monitoring

Our Coronary Care/Intensive care unit (CCU / ICU) is fully equipped for advanced life support, which includes:

• Thrombolysis
• Temporary pace inertion
• Noninvasive and invasive monitoring
• Ventilation

Equipment and Facilities
The Cardiology unit is equipped with the latest specialised equipment and offers the highest levels of medical care. We offer the following:

• General Electric Vivid-3 Echo machine with TEE probe
• General Electric CASE 2000 exercise test
• 24 hour blood pressure monitoring with Holter Equipment
• Fully equipped coronary intensive care unit

• Monday – Friday (8.00–13.00 & 16.00–19-00)
• Saturday (8.00-13.00)
